Horatio Sanz
Horatio Sanz co-stars as Nick in International West Pictures hilarious new comedy "Boat Trip" – about two guys who set sail, looking for love on a Mediterranean singles cruise. When Nick’s best friend Jerry (Cuba Gooding Jr.) gets dumped by his fiancée, Nick decides to cheer him up by booking a vacation cruise for the two guys on a ship that’s supposed to be filled with lots of young, beautiful and available women.
A native of Chicago, Sanz is best known as a featured player on television’s "Saturday Night Live". Most recently, Sanz starred in the hit comedy feature film "Tomcats" from Revolution Studios, released through Sony Pictures and, before that, in "Road Trip", the raucous blockbuster hit comedy from Dreamworks SKG about a group of college buddies on a cross-country journey to rescue a sex tape from falling into the wrong hands.
As a regular on Saturday Night Live, Sanz has performed in numerous comedy sketches and created such characters as Jasper Hahn, the political cartoonist for "Weekend Update" as well as performing many impressions including Jerry Garcia, Larry Flynt, Jim Morrison and Meatloaf. In addition, he appeared in the unforgettable "Gap Fat" commercial parody of The Gap’s TV commercials styled after West Side Story.
Prior to Saturday Night Live Sanz was a writer and performer at venues including the Court Theater and Chicago’s famed Second City improv/sketch comedy troupe, where such luminous Saturday Night Live’s alumni as John Belushi, Chris Farley, Bill Murray and Tim Meadows got their starts. He is also one of the founding members of The Upright Citizens Brigade.
